On a day that was plagued by both bad weather and low voter turnout, I DO wish to thank all of you that voted for me. I appreciate your support and your willingness to use your precious right of citizenship on my behalf and for what I wanted to accomplish as Commissioner.
Unfortunately, my opponent, Frank Tilton, had a few more supporters than did I - he won the right to face Ed Philpot in the general election in November.
Yes, there are times that one wins and times that one loses. That said, I hope that I have been able to raise important issues concerning the County governance and operation that will be examined and acted upon once the new Commissioner has been selected and seated. I still believe that there is much to be done.
You can be sure of one thing - there will be people that will now be more closely watching the County and how it is managed because of this race.
